Fatal Motorcycle Collision In Chicago’s Garfield Ridge Neighborhood

There was a fatal motorcycle accident Thursday night (May 5, 2016) in Chicago’s Garfield Ridge neighborhood (Southwest Side of Chicago.)

The accident is discussed in the May 6, 2016 Chicago Sun-Times article titled “Suburban man killed in Garfield Ridge motorcycle crash.”

An excerpt from that article:

John Baran, 46, was driving a motorcycle about 9:30 p.m. in the 6300 block of South Harlem when the motorcycle crossed lanes and was hit by an oncoming SUV, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Baran, of New Lenox, was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead at 9:57 p.m.
