There was a fatal motorcycle accident Thursday night (July 9, 2015) in Belleville, Illinois.
The accident happened as a motorcyclist and passenger were riding west on North Belt West around 11:30 p.m. At that time, they collided with a car that was backing out of the Church’s Chicken parking lot at 46th Street.
According to the St. Clair County Coroner’s Office, the motorcyclist and passenger were declared dead at the accident scene.
The motorcyclist was identified as Lincoln R. Shaw, 28, of Granite City. The passenger was identified as Brittany Johnson, 25, of East Carondolet.

Shaw and Johnson were ejected from the motorcycle after the collision and sustained fatal head and chest injuries, Stone said.
