There was a fatal motorcycle accident this evening on Interstate 80 (I-80) near Tinley Park, Illinois.
Details on the accident appear somewhat limited at this time.
However, according to the Illinois State Police (ISP) the accident happened at approximately 6:24 p.m., as the motorcyclist was attempting to merge onto I-80 near Harlem Avenue. The motorcycle collided with the front of a semi truck, and then went out of control. Both the man and woman on the motorcycle were thrown from the bike.
The woman, who has been identified as Krystina D. Raddatz, 22, of Joliet, was pronounced dead at the accident scene, and the man was taken to a local hospital.
