Fatal Motorcycle Accident On Chicago’s West Side

There was a fatal motorcycle accident on Chicago’s West Side this morning (Tuesday, July 16, 2013).  The accident involved a collision between a semi and a motorcycle.

The accident happened at approximately 7:30 a.m., on North Western Avenue in the 100 block.

An excerpt from the July 16 dnainfo.com article titled “Motorcyclist Killed After Colliding with Semi – Near West Side” :

The truck, heading north on Western Avenue, was making a left turn westbound onto Lake Street with a green arrow signal, police said. The motorcyclist, heading southbound on Western, crashed into the truck while it was turning, police said.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead after being taken to Stroger Hospital.  He has been identified as Paul Pawelski, 38, of Oklahoma City.
