There was a fatal motorcycle accident today at the intersection of Plank Road and Route 20 west of Elgin, Illinois.
The motorcyclist killed was Angela Hansen, 21, of Sycamore, a student at Northern Illinois University. She was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The accident happened as she was making a right turn onto Route 20 from Plank Road. For some unknown reason, she lost control of her motorcycle, and her motorcycle crossed the centerline of Route 20. Her motorcycle then collided with a semi.
The driver of the semi was uninjured.
The accident remains under investigation.
