There was a fatal motorcycle accident on Saturday, October 13, on the onramp to the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290).
The motorcyclist collided with a semi truck, as both vehicle were proceeding on the entrance ramp.
An excerpt from the October 13 Chicago Tribune article on the accident, titled “Motorcyclist killed after being struck by semi on I-290 onramp” :
The motorcyclist was pushed against a wall as the truck and the motorcycle were attempting to get on to the expressway at the same time and then was run over by the trailer, police said.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:08 p.m.
