There was a fatal motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon (August 11, 2013) in Woodstock, Illinois.
The accident happened as the motorcyclist was riding east on U.S. Route 14. At about 4:25 p.m., at the intersection of U.S. Route 14 and Dean Street, the motorcycle collided with a minivan driven by a Woodstock man who was attempting to turn left at the time.
According to Woodstock Police, both the motorcyclist and minivan were going through the red light at the time of the accident.
The motorcyclist was identified as Patrick J. Lulling, 54, of Arlington Heights. He was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the minivan, identified as Glenn L. Powers, was taken to a local hospital. He was cited with failure to yield during a left turn at an intersection.
