There was a fatal motorcycle accident Wednesday night (September 26) in Winnebago County, Illinois.
The accident was reported at approximately 5:30 p.m., and happened at Trask Bridge Road and Meridian Road.
The motorcyclist appears to have collided with the rear of a Kia Rio SUV that was stopped at the intersection, which has a four-way stop.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene; although his name has yet to be released, authorities say he is a 39-year-old male from Rockford.
The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
