There was a fatal motorcycle accident in Southern Illinois on Saturday night.
The accident happened in the southbound lanes of U.S. 67 at Kane Road, which is north of Jerseyville.
The motorcycle was “rear-ended” by a pickup truck as it waited to make a left-hand turn onto Kane Road shortly after 7:00 p.m.
The couple who died at the accident scene have been identified as as Henry E. Rethorn, 46, and his passenger – and wife – Jennifer, 42, of Kane, Illinois.
The driver of the pickup truck, identified as Adam E. Devening, 21, of Kane, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
