There was a fatal motorcycle accident in Orland Park, Illinois on Thursday, September 20.
The motorcyclist, John D. Nassenstein, 40, of Schererville, Indiana, was involved in the accident at approximately 6:20 p.m.
According to preliminary information, the Orland Park Police say that Nassenstein was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the accident, which happened at Wheeler Drive and Lowes Avenue. His motorcycle then left the roadway and struck a tree. Nassenstein was found on a sidewalk, taken to Silver Cross Hospital, and pronounced dead at 7:14 p.m.
Witnesses told police that just prior to the crash, they heard Nassenstein arguing with someone in a nearby parking lot; Nassenstein then sped off on his motorcycle.
