There was a fatal motorcycle accident in Collinsville, Illinois on Thursday night, July 26.
The accident took the life of Cindy Anderson, 52, of Granite City, Illinois.
Anderson was riding on the back of a motorcycle ridden by her husband, Michael Anderson, 62, when the accident happened. The pair were riding westbound on Collinsville Road at approximately 9:20 p.m., when they collided with a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old man who pulled out from the Rural King parking lot, into the path of their motorcycle.
During the course of the accident, both Cindy and Michael Anderson were thrown from the motorcycle; Cindy was pronounced dead after being airlifted to a hospital; Michael was taken to a hospital and was listed in critical condition.
The 25-year-old driver of the vehicle was not injured.
