Fatal Motorcycle Accident In Chicago’s Wrightwood Neighborhood

There was a fatal motorcycle accident Friday night in Chicago’s Wrightwood neighborhood.

According to Chicago Police, the accident happened at approximately 9:15 p.m., as a motorcyclist was heading south on Western Avenue.  The motorcycle hit a curb in the 7600 block of South Western Avenue, causing a loss of control.  The motorcycle then struck a lightpole after leaving the roadway.

The motorcyclist has been identified as Robert Poindexter, 32, of Chicago.  He was declared dead at the accident scene.
