Fatal Motorcycle Accident In Chicago’s South Loop

There was a fatal motorcycle accident Monday night (September 2, 2013) in Chicago’s South Loop area.

The accident happened as the motorcyclist was riding east on Cermak Road at approximately 11:15 p.m.  As the motorcyclist was in the 300 block of West Cermak Road, his motorcycle was struck by an Infiniti car that was turning left from South Archer Avenue.

The motorcyclist, Lawrence Talbert, 36, of Chicago, was taken to Stroger Hospital.  He was pronounced dead at 11:42 p.m.

According to Chicago Police, the driver of the Infiniti, only identified as a female, was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
