Fatal Motorcycle Accident In Chicago’s Canaryville Neighborhood

There was a fatal motorcycle accident early this morning (approximately 1:00 a.m.) in Chicago’s Canaryville neighborhood (South Side.)

According to Chicago Police, the motorcyclist lost control of the bike – for a presumably unknown reason – and crashed.  The accident happened in the 4300 block of South Wallace Street.

The motorcyclist was identified as Michael May, 43, of Chicago.  He was taken to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The accident remains under investigation by the Chicago Police Major Accidents Investigation Unit.
