Fatal Motorcycle Accident In Caseyville, Illinois

There was a fatal motorcycle accident Friday (April 11, 2014) afternoon in Caseyville, Illinois.

According to Caseyville Police, this motorcycle accident happened at approximately 3:00 p.m. Friday, when a woman in a car,  traveling south on Illinois 157, attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Tucker Lane.  In doing so, she apparently drove into the path of a motorcycle traveling northbound on Illinois 157.  A collision occurred, with the car hitting a Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Denny Suchman, 49, of Belleville.   There was also a passenger on the motorcycle, identified as Kristi Petroski, 45, of Cahokia.   During the accident Petroski was ejected.  She was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Clair County Coroner’s Office.

Suchman was taken to a local hospital.

The driver of the car was identified as Jasmine Pierson, 22, of Edwardsville. According to the Caseyville Police Department, she was cited for failure to yield, disobeying a traffic control device and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
