There was a fatal motorcycle accident early this morning in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
According to Bolingbrook Police, the motorcycle accident happened as a motorcyclist was riding east on Boughton Road at approximately 2:30 a.m. At that point, he apparently lost control of the motorcycle and struck the median. He was thrown from the motorcycle. Media accounts differ as to whether the accident happened near Boughton and Aspen or Boughton and Bolingbrook Drive.
The motorcyclist was identified as Richard H. Ford, 25, of Romeoville.
Ford was pronounced dead after being taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital.

A preliminary investigation indicates that speed and alcohol were factors in the wreck, which involved no other vehicles, Rompa said.
