According to the Grundy County Coroner’s Office, the accident happened after the motorcyclist lost control of his motorcycle and ran off the road into a ditch. During the course of the accident the motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle.
At the time of the accident, the motorcyclist was heading northbound on Illinois Route 53, south of Gardner.
No reason was provided as to why the motorcyclist may have lost control.
The motorcyclist was identified as Kimberly Charles Hysel, 51, of Godley. He was declared deceased at the accident scene at 8:05 p.m.
