Fatal I-55 Motorcycle Accident Near Indian Head Park

There was a fatal motorcycle crash on I-55 near Indian Head Park on Sunday evening (May 28, 2017).

The motorcycle accident appears to involve a loss of motorcycle control, although the cause of this loss of control does not appear to be publicly disclosed at this time.

An excerpt regarding the crash, from the Chicago Sun-Times article of May 31, 2017, titled “54-year-old dies in motorcycle crash on I-55 near Indian Head Park“:

Richard Earl Kubil, 54, was driving north at 6:08 p.m. on I-55 near Wolf Road when his motorcycle veered off the highway and struck a concrete median barrier on the left side, according to Illinois State Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Kubil, of Chicago, was ejected from the motorcycle during the crash.  He was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
