There was a fatal motorcycle accident Sunday evening (May 21, 2017) in Greene County.
According to information provided by the Illinois State Police (ISP), the accident happened on U.S. 67.

Robert Wear, 68, of Hillview died Sunday after his motorcycle crossed over the center line of U.S. 67 roughly a half-mile north of 1700 N in Carrollton, striking the side of the van going the opposite direction. The crash occurred at 5:14 p.m., according to a release from ISP District 18 Trooper Heath Bryan, and Wear was pronounced dead at the scene by Greene County Coroner Danny Powell.
The driver of the van as well as the other three occupants were not injured during the collision.
