There was a Illinois fatal motorcycle crash in Elgin, Illinois on Saturday evening, September 27, 2014.
This motorcycle crash involved the motorcycle colliding with a SUV at approximately 7:20 p.m. The accident happened at Bowles and Nolan Roads.
According to Elgin Police, the motorcyclist, William Maglares, 36, of Elgin, was riding a 2012 Harley Davidson west on Bowes at a high rate of speed, when the motorcycle “rear-ended” the SUV, which was also traveling west.
Maglares was taken for treatment of his injuries to Presence St. Joseph Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the SUV, identified as a 28-year-old man from Elgin, was not injured in this motorcycle crash.

Police said that based on the preliminary investigation, Maglares’ blood-alcohol level was over the legal threshold.
