There was a fatal motorcycle accident early Thursday morning (August 25, 2016) in Peoria.
According to the Peoria Police Department, the accident happened at approximately 12:05 a.m., at the intersection of North Knoxville Avenue and Prospect Road, as shown below:
The accident only involved a single motorcycle, with a motorcyclist and passenger.

It is believed the motorcycle was approaching the intersection from the south when the two men were “ejected,” the coroner said. Cotton was found on Knoxville while the other man was found on Prospect.
One of the men, Jacoby Cotton, 26, of Peoria, was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The other man was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center for treatment of accident injuries that were considered to be “life-threatening” in nature.
