As discussed on the “Reasons For Illinois Motorcycle Accident Injuries And Fatalities” page, motorcycle accidents can occur for a variety of reasons. While some of these reasons are the fault of the motorcyclist, others are the fault of another person or party.
In instances where a motorcyclist and/or motorcycle passenger is injured due to the negligence of another person, compensation for harm caused may be available through the filing of a personal injury lawsuit. If the accident causes a fatality, relevant parties may elect to file a wrongful death lawsuit.
An example of a motorcycle accident that led to the successful filing of a lawsuit is seen in the post titled “Settlement Of $209,000 For Motorcycle Accident Lawsuit.” As seen in that post, the Elman Joseph Law Group settled a case in which a motorcycle rider was hit by an allegedly negligent motorist.
