There was a motorcycle accident Thursday afternoon (May 24, 2018) involving a collision between a tractor and motorcycle. The collision occurred in Savanna, Illinois, which is in Carroll County.

At approximately 4:10 p.m., a farm tractor, driven by Keith Rath of Savanna, was making a left turn onto a private drive on Elizabeth road, north of Mount Carroll when a motorcycle driven by Loran Hoffman of Clinton, Iowa, struck the tractor while attempting to pass in a no-passing zone.
During the collision Hoffman was ejected from the motorcycle. He was flown to OSF St. Anthony in Rockford for treatment of his accident injuries.
Rath was not injured during the crash.
The accident investigation is being conducted by the Caroll County Sheriff and the Illinois State Police.
