A motorcyclist remains in critical condition after an accident on Friday night (March 30) in Colchester, Illinois.
The motorcyclist, Clarence Martin, 21, was driving northbound on East 550th Street, north of County Road 1600 North, when he lost control of his motorcycle. The accident happened at approximately 8:40 p.m.

Martin was thrown off his motorcycle and sustained major injuries.
McDonough County Sheriff’s deputies, Illinois State Police District 14 troopers, Blandinsville Rescue and McDonough District Hospital Ambulance responded to the scene, and Martin was air evacuated to OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
The accident is still under investigation.
