Chicago Motorcyclist Dies Following June 14 Accident

A motorcyclist who was injured in a collision in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood a few month ago has died from his injuries.

The motorcyclist, Ricardo Roman, 44, of Chicago, died Tuesday at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.  According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, an autopsy revealed that he died from injuries sustained during the motorcycle accident.

According to Chicago Police, the motorcycle accident which injured Roman happened on June 14, 2014, at approximately 1:00 a.m, in the 3500 block of West Fullerton Avenue.

The collision between his motorcycle and another vehicle happened when the vehicle made an illegal U-turn after pulling out of a parking space.  In doing so, the vehicle collided with Roman’s motorcycle.

After the accident, Roman was hospitalized in critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle was cited for making a U-turn near an intersection, police said.
