There was a Chicago motorcycle accident early Saturday morning (August 12, 2017) on the Northwest Side near O’Hare Airport.
As is common in motorcycle accidents that are not the fault of the motorcyclist, this accident involved a vehicle making a left-hand turn into the path of an oncoming motorcycle.

A little after midnight, a 30-year-old woman was driving a Ford Fusion east on Foster Avenue when she turned left to Pioneer Avenue in front of a Kawasaki bike going the opposite direction, according to Chicago Police.
The car-motorcycle collision that followed critically injured the 45-year-old male motorcyclist. He was taken to Lutheran General Hospital (Park Ridge) for treatment of his accident injuries.
According to Chicago Police, the woman driving the Ford Fusion was ticketed for making an improper turn.
The traffic accident investigation is being conducted by the Chicago Police Department Major Accidents Investigation Unit.
