Car-Motorcycle Collision In Naperville Injures Two People

There was a car-motorcycle accident Tuesday afternoon (July 12, 2016) in Naperville.   The accident happened near Chicago Avenue and Naper Boulevard, as pictured below:

The crash involved a Nissan Murano and a motorcycle and happened at approximately 2:15 p.m.

An excerpt from the July 13 Positively Naperville article titled “Naperville first responders investigate serious traffic crash“:

Initial investigation indicates that the Murano was traveling westbound on Chicago Av. and turned left onto southbound Naper Blvd in front of the Harley Davidson, which was eastbound Chicago Av., with the right of way.

The driver of the 2008 Nissan Murano, Franklin Fisher, has been cited for Failure to Yield- Turning Left.

The motorcyclist was identified as Brian Spravka, 28, of Naperville.  He and his passenger, Julianne Burton, 25, of Morton Grove, were taken to Edward Hospital for treatment of their accident injuries, which were considered to be life-threatening in nature.

A third person refused medical treatment at the accident scene.

This accident remains under investigation by the Naperville Police Department’s Traffic Unit.  Those with information concerning the crash are asked to call Naperville Police at 630-420-8833.
