There was a motorcycle accident Sunday (April 16, 2017) near Leland in LaSalle County.
According to preliminary information provided by the Illinois State Police (ISP), the collision involved a motorcycle and a car.
The crash happened on Route 34 near Route 23 east of Leland. The accident happened at 10:26 p.m.

According to the report, the two drivers involved in the crash were Lauren Kueteman, 23, of Ottawa and Shane Hultine, 26, of Aurora. Preliminary investigation indicates Kueteman failed to yield while turning left. The crash remains under investigation by ISP District 17 and the Illinois State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit.
Hultine, the motorcyclist, was flown to a hospital for medical treatment of his accident injuries.
Kueteman was not injured during the collision.
