According to news accounts, the accident involved a collision between a motorcycle and another vehicle in the early morning hours. The collision occurred near 140th Street and Torrence Avenue.
One person – the motorcyclist – was declared dead after being taken to Franciscan Health Hammond for treatment of his accident injuries. He was identified as Kendall King, 21.
Two other people – including the motorcycle passenger – were also taken to Franciscan Health Hammond for treatment of their accident injuries. Both were said to be in critical condition.
Among the motorcycle passenger’s injuries was a broken leg.
The motorcycle accident investigation is being conducted by the Illinois State Police and the South Suburban Major Accidents Team.
