One of the leading causes of fatal motorcycle collisions continues to be when a driver makes a left-hand turn immediately in front of an oncoming motorcycle. On this site many of these crashes have been summarized. In many instances the driver who hits the motorcycle says that he or she did “not see” the motorcyclist. For this reason, certain safety measures have been recommended as seen in posts found in the “Motorcyclist Rider Safety” category.
