There was a fatal motorcycle accident involving a motorcycle hitting a deer Monday (May 28, 2018) night on I-72 near Buffalo, Illinois. The collision happened near mile marker 112.

Kenneth Simpson, 66, of Nebraska, was pronounced dead at HSHS St. John’s ER at 9:38 p.m. Simpson was the driver of a motorcycle that was westbound on I-72 near Buffalo involved in a cash due to a deer running out into the highway.
Preliminary results from the autopsy indicate that Simpson died from blunt force injuries due to the collision.
The Illinois State Police is conducting the accident investigation.
