A motorcyclist has died from his accident injuries a week after being struck by a car in Chicago’s Avalon Park neighborhood.
According to Chicago Police, the accident occurred on Friday (September 22, 2017) as the motorcyclist was riding east on East 79th Street. At approximately 10:30 p.m., he was struck by a car turning left at East 79th Street and South Chicago Avenue.
After the collision, the driver of the sedan left the accident scene.
The motorcyclist was identified as Adrian “A.J.” Campbell, 29, of Chicago. He died from his accident injuries at Christ Medical Center on Friday, September 29, 2017.
The driver of the sedan has not yet been identified.
The accident remains under investigation by the Chicago Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Unit.
