An early-season motorcycle accident happened Sunday afternoon, February 28, 2016 on Illinois Route 29, just south of Cantrall (which is near Springfield.)

Illinois State Police said the motorcyclist attempted to pass several vehicles at a high rate of speed heading southbound on Illinois 29 near Gabbert Road when he lost control and began to skid. His name was not released.
