Motorcyclist Victim of Hit & Run Accident On Chicago’s Dan Ryan Expressway

Early Monday,  a man, an off-duty Cook County Sheriff’s deputy, was thrown from a motorcycle and injured in a Hit & Run crash on the Dan Ryan Expressway.

According to an August 8 WLS-AM story on the accident, titled “Sheriff’s deputy hurt in Dan Ryan hit-and-run” :

The crash happened in the outbound lanes of the expressway (I-90/94) near 63rd Street about 1:15 a.m., an Illinois State Police District Chicago trooper said.

A black pickup truck came up from behind and struck the motorcycle in the express lanes, throwing its driver from the vehicle, the trooper said. The truck then fled the scene.

The man riding the motorcycle, who is a Cook County Sheriff’s Deputy, was not critically injured, the trooper said. He was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County.

State Police are investigating.
