Motorcycle Passenger Dies Following Accident In Waukegan

There was a fatal motorcycle accident early Saturday morning (August 6, 2016) in Waukegan.

According to Waukegan Police, the accident involved a car and motorcycle at the intersection of McAlister Street and Helmholtz Avenue at approximately 2:00 a.m.

The cause of the accident was later discussed in various media sources, including the Daily Herald article of August 9, 2016 titled “Police:  Woman killed after ex-boyfriend runs into rear of motorcycle.”  An excerpt:

A 23-year-old Waukegan woman was killed after her estranged boyfriend drove a car into the rear of the motorcycle she was riding on as a passenger, authorities said.

The 23-year-old woman, identified as Gloria I. Moreno-Castro, who was the passenger on the motorcycle, was taken to a hospital for treatment of her accident injuries, and later died.
