Motorcycle Crash Near Springfield Seriously Injures Rider

An early-season motorcycle accident happened Sunday afternoon, February 28, 2016 on Illinois Route 29, just south of Cantrall (which is near Springfield.)

The accident is discussed in a variety of media sources, including the February 28, 2016 article titled “Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries after Sunday crash on Illinois 29.”

As seen in the article, the motorcyclist was seriously injured after crashing.  The crash involved a loss of control.  An excerpt from the article:

Illinois State Police said the motorcyclist attempted to pass several vehicles at a high rate of speed heading southbound on Illinois 29 near Gabbert Road when he lost control and began to skid. His name was not released.
