There was a motorcycle crash Saturday (April 16, 2016) near Richmond.
According to the Richmond Township Fire Protection District, they responded to the crash at approximately 1:00 p.m. The accident scene was in the vicinity of the 7200 block of Keystone Road.
This motorcycle accident appears to have been caused by a loss of control.
An excerpt from the Northwest Herald article of April 16, 2016, titled “Richmond-area motorcycle crash sends man to hospital with serious injuries, officials say“:
McHenry County Sheriff’s Deputy Aimee Knop said the man was southbound Keystone Road when he went around a turn and maneuvered it incorrectly, causing him to leave the roadway and go into a southbound ditch.
The man, identified only as being 62 years old and from Arlington Heights, was flown to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville for treatment of his accident injuries. The injuries were described as “serious injuries” but were also considered to be “non-life-threatening” in nature.
