Motorcycle Collision On Interstate 57 Near Rantoul

There was an Illinois motorcycle accident Friday afternoon (August 28, 2015) on Interstate 57 near Rantoul.

The accident happened near mile marker 241.5, north of Champaign, as traffic had slowed due to a previous accident.  At 2:42 p.m., a motorcyclist, with passenger, “rear-ended” a Subaru SUV.

The motorcyclist, Ronald B. Brown, 62, of Portage, Indiana, and the passenger, Joyce Brown, 63, also of Portage, were both “thrown”over the top of the motorcycle.

Both Ronald Brown and Joyce Brown were wearing helmets at the time of the accident.  They were taken to a local hospital for treatment of their accident injuries, which were considered to be non-life threatening in nature.
