A motorcycle accident happened in Washington County, Illinois last night at approximately 10:40 p.m.
An excerpt on the accident from WJBD Radio, in a May 20 article titled “Motorcyclist Injured in Washington County Wreck” :
Illinois State Police say 29-year-old Michael Paul Parker of Oakdale was driving his motorcylce westbound on Route 15. Reports say he came into the eastbound lane, causing 35-year-old Jeffery A. Baum of Nashville to swerve his SUV into the westbound lane. The two vehicles collided and Parker was thrown from his motorcycle. The SUV rolled and landed right-side-up.
The passengers in the SUV, Daniel Baum and two children, escaped injury during the accident. Michael Paul Parker was flown to St. Louis University Hospital.
