There was a motorcycle crash early this morning (August 21, 2015) in North Barrington, Illinois.
According to police, the crash happened at approximately 12:20 a.m. as a motorcyclist was driving northbound in the 100 block of Clover Hill Lane. At that time, the motorcycle hit a deer, and the motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle. He then slid on the ground for approximately 40 feet.
The motorcyclist, identified as Daniel M. Shine, 29, of Lake Barrington, was taken, in critical condition, to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital for treatment of his accident injuries.

Shine has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He is due in Waukegan court at 9 a.m. Oct. 7.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Technical Crash Investigations Unit is continuing to investigate, the news release said.
