There was a fatal Illinois motorcycle accident Monday night (September 14, 2015) in Lockport. The accident was a hit & run.
The crash happened around 7:00 p.m. Monday on State Street and 8th Street. Lockport Police say that the car was traveling south on State Street, and the motorcyclist was traveling north. The car attempted to make a left-hand turn onto 8th Street, and in doing so turned immediately in front of the motorcycle. The motorcyclist fell to the ground while attempting to avoid the car; a collision may have occurred between the car and motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, identified as Robert Haag, 35, of New Lennox, was taken to Silver Cross Hospital for treatment of his accident injuries. He died at the hospital.

Police are looking for a light colored, four-door sedan with possible rear passenger side damage.
The driver, according to the report, was a middle-aged man with dark hair.
