Firefighter From Joliet Illinois Dies After I-80 Motorcycle Accident

On Friday night, August 19, a motorcyclist was riding westbound on Illinois Interstate 80 (I80) in Joliet when he hit an uneven surface and lost control of his bike.  He hit the pavement as part of the accident, and later died from injuries sustained during the fall.

The motorcyclist was a firefighter from Joliet, Lt. Tarence Foster.

The accident occurred shortly before midnight, just before the Chicago Street exit.  Apparently there was construction in the area.

Foster, of Joliet, was a 13 year veteran of the Joliet Fire Department.
