There was a fatal motorcycle accident Saturday (July 9, 2016) near Morris, Illinois. The accident happened in the 5000 block of Old Stage Road.
According to the Grundy County Coroner’s Office, the accident happened as four motorcycles were traveling westbound on Old Stage Road. One of the motorcyclists lost control of the motorcycle, for a currently undisclosed reason, and in the process of crashing two other motorcycles also lost control. The accident happened as the motorcyclists were crossing a bridge.
One of the motorcyclists, identified as Alfredo Gonzalez Hernandez, 31, of Aurora, was pronounced dead at the accident scene at 7:56 p.m. Two other motorcyclists were critically injured and taken to local hospitals for treatment of their accident injuries.
The motorcycle accident investigation continues by the Grundy County Coroner’s Office as well as the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office.
