There was a fatal motorcycle accident in Decatur on Tuesday afternoon (August 8, 2017.)
Details on the accident appear limited at this time. The cause of the crash does not appear to be publicly available.
According to Decatur Police, the crash happened at the corner of North 19th Street and East Prairie Street at approximately 3:09 p.m. The crash involved a collision between a motorcycle and SUV.

According to a release from Chief Deputy Coroner Dee Coventry, 29-year-old Justin Howell was pronounced dead at 3:28 p.m. Coventry says Howell died as a result of severe head and neck trauma sustained in the crash.
