There was a fatal motorcycle crash Friday afternoon (August 11, 2017) in Des Plaines.
The scene of the accident was in the 2300 block of South Mount Prospect Road.
The cause of the accident does not appear to be publicly disclosed at this time. However, a motorcycle loss of control may have been involved.
The motorcyclist was found by police and appeared to have injuries to the head and face. The rider was identified as Miguel A. Alfaro, 40, of Des Plaines, died at the accident scene.

An autopsy Saturday found that Alfaro, who lived in Des Plaines, died from multiple blunt force injuries of the head, neck, chest and pelvis as a result of a motorcycle colliding with a traffic sign, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled an accident.
The motorcycle accident remains under investigation.
