There was a fatal motorcycle accident last night (September 2, 2014) in Aurora, Illinois.
According to Aurora Police, the accident happened at approximately 9:30 p.m., at Hill Avenue and Montgomery Road.

Jacob W. Hastert, 28, was driving a 2005 Yamaha RS motorcycle southbound on Hill at a high rate of speed when he was struck by a northbound 2011 Nissan Sentra that turned left in front of him, police said.
The impact of the crash ejected both Hastert and his 37-year-old female passenger from the motorcycle, police said. Neither were wearing helmets.
Hastert, of Plainfield, suffered various injuries including “massive” head injuries and was taken to an unspecified Aurora hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:58 p.m.
The female motorcycle passenger suffered injuries including back injuries and rib injuries, and was taken to an Aurora hospital.

The driver of the Nissan, a 63-year-old Aurora woman, was ticketed for failure to yield while turning left. She was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
