Fatal Motorcycle Collision In Alton, Illinois

There was a fatal motorcycle accident in Alton, Illinois, on Sunday evening (September 15, 2013).

The motorcyclist killed was Gary Wright, 66, of Wood River, Illinois.

Wright’s wife Lora, 63, was critically injured during the accident.

The collision between the Wright’s 3-wheeled motorcycle and a car happened on Landmark Blvd. near the Clark Bridge.

Twenty-five-year-old Jeffrey Rynders of Alton is facing several charges, including Aggravated DUI Causing Death in connection with a fatal crash that claimed the life of 66-year-old Gary Wright ofWood River, Illinois.

Investigators say Rynders was driving a green Nissan Sentra at about 6:30PM Sunday when he tried to turn left to get on the bridge, but slammed into the Wrights who were riding a red Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Rynders was also involved in a “road rage” incident shortly before the collision with the Wright’s motorcycle.
