Fatal Motorcycle Accident On The Outbound Eisenhower

There was a fatal motorcycle accident Saturday (April 16, 2016) on the outbound Eisenhower Expressway (I-290).

Details on the accident appear limited at this time.  As well, the reasons for the crash do not appear to be available.

An excerpt from the April 16, 2016 NBC Chicago article (with video) titled “Fatal Motorcycle Accident Closes Outbound I-290“:

The accident involved a motorcycle and one other vehicle on westbound I-290 near Kostner Ave at around 8:42 a.m., Illinois State Police confirmed.

According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, the motorcyclist was identified as Christopher Shelhamer, 31, of Wheaton.
