There was a fatal motorcycle accident Sunday evening (September 3, 2017) on the Kennedy Expressway (I-90.)

A group of motorcyclists were “driving recklessly” and speeding north on I-90 near Kimball Avenue about 9:40 p.m. when a white Suzuki motorcycle sideswiped a blue Yamaha motorcycle, according to Illinois State Police.
The Yamaha motorcycle then rear-ended a gray 2017 Porsche, police said. A 2006 Honda also was damaged by debris from the crash.
The rider of the Suzuki motorcycle, identified as Salaam Solano, 22, of Des Plaines, was ejected from the motorcycle. According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, he was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The motorcyclist riding the Yamaha motorcyclist was also hurt, and he was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center for treatment of his accident injuries. Those injuries were considered to be non-life-threatening in nature.
