Fatal Chicago Motorcycle Crash On The Southwest Side

There was a fatal Chicago motorcycle crash Monday (May 7, 2018) morning on Chicago’s Southwest Side.  As seen in many fatal motorcycle accidents, this collision involved a vehicle making a left-hand turn in front of a motorcycle.

An excerpt regarding the fatal Chicago motorcycle crash, from the May 8, 2018 Chicago Sun-Times article titled “Motorcyclist, 46, killed in Southwest Side crash“:

About 6:30 a.m., Eric Tamosiunas was driving a motorcycle north in the 5300 block of South Harlem Avenue when a 67-year-old woman driving south tried to make a left turn and struck him, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Tamosiunas, 46, of Chicago, was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood for treatment of his accident injuries. He was pronounced dead at 8:35 a.m.

An autopsy revealed that he died of multiple injuries resulting from the accident.
